Technician- Electric Power Generation- Field

POSITION:   Technician- Electric Power Generation- Field                                       
HOURS:7:00 am- 3:30 pm or as dictated by daily activities
GEOGRAPHICAL AREA:  Northern Virginia, Martinsburg WV, Washington DC, Baltimore and surrounding areas.
 
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

• Previous engine/machine electronics and mechanical experience required.
• Thorough understanding of product warranty guidelines.
• Proficiency in the use and application of all electronic engine tools and software, such as SIS, ET, etc.
• Efficiency and accuracy in obtaining service information as needed for repair proficiency from Cat or other information sources.
• Thorough understanding of parts ordering systems.
• Be available for after-hours emergency service requests from customers. 24/7/365
• Valid state driver’s license per company policies and guidelines.
• Must be strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision, be willing to travel, and work hours as required by job and customer demand.

 
DUTIES:Within company policies, complete service assignments and provide technical assistance as requested to other technicians in a positive and efficient manner, promoting the highest possible degree of quality, safety, customer satisfaction and teamwork. Position is responsible for successfully handling service calls and assignments for generator systems with a focus on the mechanical and electrical aspects of engine/generator package. The technician will need to complete minimum level engine/generator training and demonstrate competency in troubleshooting and repairing those components.
