This position is full time and serves to support early childhood professionals in their understanding of early childhood education, child development, and the implementation of curriculum. Under the supervision of the Child Care Specialist III, the Child Care Specialist II is responsible for creating content, delivering professional development and on-site follow-up to early childhood educators enrolled in Neighborhood Community Service (NCS) Institute for Early Learning (IFEL). Provides professional learning opportunities through in-person sessions, on-site or through virtual webinars and professional learning series to early childhood educators in community base programs as well as in family child care programs. Supports Ready Region work by conducting CLASS observations, providing feedback and technical assistance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, psychology, social work, or a closely related field; plus two years of experience in day care administration, early childhood education, or related human service administration.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, and a driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
