What You Can Expect

As our Asset Operations, Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets in Central Texas. You will also serve as a key company representative for maintenance scheduling and coordination with internal teams as well as 3rd parties. This field-based position will require frequent travel, primarily to two facilities in Central Texas. As such, the candidate must reside within two hours of Austin, TX area facilities.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will ensure the smooth operation of our battery storage plants, overseeing coordination with OEM technicians and both internal and external maintenance partners. You'll be hands-on in troubleshooting technical issues onsite, detecting and addressing deviations in plant operations. Communication will be key, as you'll liaise with internal departments such as Performance Management, Asset Management, and Remote Operations teams to promptly report any issues or requirements, facilitating resolution by coordinating with internal teams, OEMs, and EMS providers. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in supporting reliability improvement plans by collaborating with in-house and third-party technical engineering staff.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of three (3) years' of electrical experience or comparable industrial experience such as Power Sector industry, Military experience working with power systems or generation equipment, or Oil & Gas industry experience with maintenance/electronic tools/repairs/marine equipment/pipeline electronic detection, experience with heavy machinery is beneficial in lieu of battery storage experience
  • Minimum High school diploma or technical certificate

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring regular travel to ENGIE site(s)
  • This role requires daily attendance at worksite
  • Must be available to travel (domestically) up to 25% of the time (with the need for some overnight trips)
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record will be utilizing company provided vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position consists of 20% work indoors and 80% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
  • Could involve some lifting up to 50 lbs

Compensation

Salary Range: $32.00 - 48.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
