What You Can Expect

As the Senior Software Engineer for (Database/ Data Modeling)in Houston, Texas for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be the lead software developer focused on design, development and implementation of the database architecture for the central data repository. Within ENGIE's dynamic environment, you will support the data modeling needs of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) analytics team. Every day, you will report to the Software Director of Engineering to assist with a wide range of software development activities and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering or related field of study
  • A minimum of five (5) years designing and implementing database
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience developing in a Linux environment
  • Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as PERL, Python or similar
  • Deep understanding of software configuration management systems such as Git or Subversion
  • Familiarity with MathWorks tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Coder, toolboxes, Designer) for modeling and simulation

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Occasional Travel may be required

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 - $147,660 USD annually

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
