Position Description

The Senior Commercial Trainer for North and South America is a member of the Commercial Excellence Department, strongly focusing on aligning QIAGEN's values and connecting them to commercial selling skills. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate with stakeholders in their local language (Spanish/Portuguese).

To be successful in this role, the candidate will focus on several areas to include:

  • Align QIAGEN's values with commercial selling skills with QIAGEN Digital Insights team, and collaborate with business partners for product learnings, certifications, and assessments.
  • Develop and deliver product and sales training aligned with the Learning Curriculum, as well as, evaluate and provide feedback on trainees' abilities and performance.
  • Rapidly master new products and selling skills within budgetary limits.
  • Travel for training activities, engage with business partners, and contribute to marketing projects, as well as, generate field travel reports for department and local management.

Tools and Tactics:

  • Review and enhance sales tools, promoting a positive team culture.
  • Demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, and contribute to company-wide performance improvement.

Partnering with Commercial and Global Leadership:

  • Consult and advise regional commercial leadership.
  • Drive adherence to best practices and guide employees on QIAGEN's sales methodology.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts for knowledge exchange.

Training and Communication:

  • Align regional training with global expectations.
  • Bridge field force demands with internal directives.
  • Execute plans and KPIs for effective implementation.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

- University degree in science, business administration, or related field.

- Preferably with 10+ years' experience in sales management, as well as, experience in digital insights/bioinformatics or life science sales.

- Must have working knowledge and ability to coach on at least one standard selling model (e.g., SPIN, CSS, Miller-Heiman, PSS, etc.).

- Highly skilled in CRM, preferably Salesforce.com.

- Experience in sales training is preferred but not required.

Personal Requirements:

- Must be bilingual, preferred trilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, English).

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; adept at PowerPoint presentations.

- Familiar with performance management methods.

- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
