Unity at the DC Jail is looking for an experienced NP Psychiatrist (2+ years community or correctional psychiatry experience) to see patients during the intake process. This flexible and competent individual is responsible for triaging, assessing, diagnosing and managing patients with persistent serious mental illness as well as patients with other mental health disorders, including substance use disorder, when they present to the DC Jail for intake. The right candidate will also have experience with prescribing medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD). This is an opportunity to work on a strong team that includes nursing and medical providers as well as mental health. This is an evening position with hours from 5:30pm to 1:30 am with a schedule that will include some Saturday hours. Correctional experience a plus but not required.
