Job Description

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced SharePoint and Database Project Manager and with a Top Secret Clearance. Responsibilities include providing the federal client with technical expertise in database design tools, methodologies, data validation methodologies, data migration processes, file organization, indexing methods, data integrity, and security procedures, and backup and disaster recovery planning. The database will be built to support the client's portfolio of real estate projects. Projects range from small to large-scale construction/modernization projects in different stages of lifecycle planning. Projects may include space upgrades or modification/reconfiguration of spaces to meet the mission needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing SharePoint to assist with tracking, reporting, and logistical support for workflow and processes
  • Designs, creates, tests, and maintains websites, interactive tools, and content; analyzes requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy customer needs; designs and develops user-friendly interfaces; integrates designer assets into user interfaces using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and SharePoint
  • Manages or develops database projects. Provides highly technical expertise in the use of database management systems concepts. Evaluates and recommend available database management products and services to support validated user requirements.
  • Prepares and edits technical material, including operations and maintenance manuals, software and system documentation, and other technical publications.

Required Experience & Skills

A computer architecture, computer science, information systems, engineering or construction management bachelor's degree from an accredited University recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or a minimum of four years in SharePoint and database developing, testing, and implementing web applications and/or systems software to assist in project managers in interior renovation or construction projects.

  • Designs and implements internal and external web pages and applications. Converts documents into HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) or other complex programming languages (e.g., ASP, Java, C+, Net). Determines users' needs, strategies, and goals and develops web pages that meet those needs.
  • Coordinates efforts of technical artists, illustrators, editors, and writers in preparing documents for internal and external distribution
  • Provides technical and analytical support to database development, data migration, and data validation efforts. Evaluates and recommend database management systems based on client requirements. Provides technical expertise in database design tools and methodologies, data validation methodologies, data migration processes, file organization, indexing methods, data integrity, and security procedures, and backup and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ability to pass a "suitability" background investigation and ability to gain a MINIMUM OF TOP SECRET CLEARANCES (with eligibility for SCI access) required.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/government building projects with experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects
  • Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a fast paced environment.

Required Education
