Role Description: |
The Senior Manager, Learning & Development, is responsible for design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive learning and development programs to support the professional growth and skill enhancement of DC Water's employees. The role identifies training needs for DC Water's workforce, designs tailored learning solutions, measures their impact, and contributes to the development of a highly skilled and engaged workforce aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. The role fosters a culture of continuous learning, performance excellence, and organizational effectiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: |
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees a team of learning and development professionals, trainers, and instructional designers. Monitors and evaluates performance towards meeting goals. Adjusts objectives, priorities, work plans, schedules, and commitment of resources as needed. Provides daily planning and administration in the selection, assignment, supervision, promotion, discipline, and training of team members.
Key Working Relationships: Interacts with high level officials, managers and supervisors throughout DC Water, employees, local union representatives, officials from other government and private agencies and organizations, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Required Experience: |
7-10 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational development, including at least 5 years of managerial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs and initiatives in a corporate or organizational setting. |
Minimum Education Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university. |
